Emily de Schweinitz Taylor
Like you, I deal with conflict every day to greater or lesser degrees. Motivated by my studies and life experiences, I am dedicated to sharing practical, every day conflict resolution principles and communication skills with individuals, families, and organizations .
I am a certified mediator, a conflict coach, a writer, and a communications trainer. Most importantly, I am the mother of five growing children (aged 8-14 years old) who daily teach me important lessons about effective conflict resolution.
Following my undergraduate studies in French and socio-cultural anthropology, I earned a master's in international policy from the University of Chicago. After my schooling, I worked at Cisco Systems as an international government relations manager and Rotary International as a public relations specialist.
In 2015, I graduated from a University of Denver’s master’s program in communications focused on conflict resolution. As a writer, I have published several articles through Denver Metro area media outlets and published my first full-length book entitled, Raising Mediators, in 2017.
Most recently, I have been focusing on writing for my blogs, volunteering at BYU's Center for Conflict Resolution, and working on my second book entitled Conflict Fluent focused on the five approaches to conflict.
